Franco Signor is pleased to announce that it has recently completed a service auditor’s review SSAE16 SOC1, formerly known as a SAS 70 I audit, of its Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) solutions. The examination was performed by a nationally recognized independent auditing firm, and was completed and certified as of June 30, 2015. Included in the scope of the audit were Franco Signor’s data input and validation controls. The general controls that support these activities were also examined.

The service auditor’s testing allowed the service auditor to opine on the following: “The controls related to the control objectives stated in the description were suitably designed as of June 30, 2015 to achieve those control objectives. The criteria we used in making this assertion were that: The risks that threaten the achievement of the control objectives stated in the description have been identified by management; The controls identified in the description would, if operating as described, provide reasonable assurance that those risks would not prevent the control objectives stated in the description from being achieved; and; the controls were consistently applied as designed, including whether manual controls were applied by individuals who have the appropriate competence and authority.”

“The time and effort undertaken to meet and exceed the auditor’s requirements further exemplifies Franco Signor’s commitment to our clients in the Medicare Secondary Payer space,” Roy Franco said. Franco Signor has engaged its service auditor to a long-term contract whereby Franco Signor will undergo auditing on an annual basis.
